The final afternoon of Camp Preppy, before our farewell dinner, we crafted! There was no formal teachings or guidelines, just to relax, have fun and get creative! Which was the perfect way to unwind.
We used Becky Frank Designs bead kits to make friendship bracelets. I love her kits because they give you an assortment of different beads, various shapes, colors, etc. plus the thing and even scissors…. it’s all you need! With just one kit you can make multiple pieces which also made it the perfect little take home gift too. I loved watching campers trade beads and help each other. It was truly girlhood!
Then after bracelet making, we painted on wooden crests. These were so special to me as my dad actually made them for all of us! I saw an Instagram post someone made of having her mother’s painted camp crest and I thought that was such a fun idea! I purchased paints and stencils to complete the craft.
It was so beautiful seeing how everyone made something different and so them! I love Gigi’s idea of a crest and then having each camper sign it. So creative and a great memento!
