The first full day of Camp Preppy kicked off with morning mahjong hosted by Lisa of Bam! Let’s Mahjong. Lisa taught those who are new to mahjong how to play while those who are seasoned players self-played on their own in a corner.
We got to play with Lisa’s beautiful tiles and mats. I love their pastel shades and feminine motifs. Lisa has a great way of teaching, making learning fun and informative and answering everyone’s questions… no matter how silly they thought they were.
We were spoiled with gifts like Weezie’s newest cocktail napkins, perfect for our coffee and tea. Lucy Grymes notepads were not only cute but quite useful in taking notes from Lisa on playing tips and rules. B Hartzell was so generous to give each camper a pink or navy handbag. Plus, everyone loved the Bam! Let’s Mahjong hats.
My absolute favorite part was seeing so many people who never have played, fall in love with mahjong. Many first timers even won and some left buying their own sets to play at home!
