Why Entrepreneurs Should Be Influencers

Friends, if you’re a business owner (or aspiring one) you need to be an influencer! I’ve talked about this a lot on my podcast and even find myself telling clients and friends recently, as I true think it’s a smart formula.

You know the old saying that you need to position yourself as an expert in your field, market yourself that way and sort of “fake it ’til you make it”? Well, it’s just that but the 2022 version.

Being an influencer puts you in the position of power, to share your expertise, flaunt your talents and of course, influence! Furthermore, in today’s social media driven world, just about every brand these days has a face to it. No longer are the days of the man behind the curtain because people want to know who they are buying from, they want to feel part of the group and connected. This is exactly why you need to make yourself the face of your business.

Don’t just share the glitz and professional images but also the behind the scenes, the struggles and the real life. I constantly tell clients to share behind the scenes as they are designing new pieces, or even personal things like how they set the table for the holidays.

More and more these days we have been sending product to business owners and entrepreneurs to post and cross promote my clients… not just traditional “bloggers” and “influencers”.

While I have had a blog since college my goal has never been to be a full time influencer, I love my Piqued PR business and dabbling in other entrepreneurial endeavors, however I have strategically positioned myself as an influencer too to attract new clients, network and promote my clients.

So join me in the influencer realm… trust me, this is the way of the future!
