What To Do In Cape May

Right after our wedding we escaped to Cape May for a few days to relax. You see, we’re taking our real honeymoon next spring in Europe. This was both of ours first time in Cape May and we loved it. I thought I’d do a round up of some of our favorites incase any of you are looking into a trip. Honestly, it’s a year-round town so a visit in fall or winter could be great too!

Where to Stay:

Congress Hall– we stayed here as I love historic hotels for their design features, history and old world way of doing things.

The Virginia– I want to try staying here for our next visit, it looks lovely

B&B’s- there were tons around the town that looked so charming and nice

Where to Eat

Blue Pig Tavern– part of Congress Hall, we stopped in for lunch upon arrival. The sandwiches were HUGE, fresh and delicious

Exit 0– a funky restaurant with delicious food with an Indian flare. Get the disco fries for sure

Peter Shields– our absolute favorite! Everything was so good, a beautiful presentation and live piano player, even on a Monday night. I might opt to stay here one day too

The Rusty Nail– more casual bar food but I enjoyed my clams and it’s a fun casual atmosphere for drinks and a bite

What To Do

Cape May Winery– this large winery has many options no matter your preference, enjoy a glass on their beautiful property. The Albarino was our favorite

Beach Plum Farm– beautiful gardens, a working farm and a great spot to relax and enjoy a bite of food in nature

Sunset Beach– take in the sunset over an old shipwreck, so pretty but a little crowded

The Brown Room– part of Congress Hall, enjoy live music and great cocktails in this moody, classic room

Sea Spa– another spot at Congress Hall where I had a massage, I love how each room looks like a beach cabana

Cape May Lighthouse– climb up the steps and enjoy the views of Cape May

South Cape May Meadows– take a walk and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and some bird watching

Trolley Tour– we loved learning about the history of Cape May on the historic trolley tour

Tiger Queen Dress

I love a collared shirt dress. It’s preppy and classic but I love this fun spin on it with this tiger pattern. Unexpected yet still put together is how I’d describe it. Don’t the tigers go with my tiger bangle perfectly too? Shop the Post
