If you’re new around here, you may not know that I don’t have my ears pierced. I’ve had them pierced two or three times before growing up but honestly it kind of freaks me out and they would always get infected so when I was about 17 I just decided to do away with earrings. Luckily today there are so many brands that also create clip on styles, plus, I’ve been known to DIY some myself (I can do a post on that too), and you can’t go wrong with vintage! So since I have about over 10 years of experience hunting down clip on earrings, I thought today I’d share my favorite places to find them as some of you may not have your ears pierced or even with today’s trendy large statement earrings many of my friends wear clips as to not rip their holes.
- Lisi Lerch– Lisi has been a client of mine for about 7 years now and most of her earrings come in post and clip so you can find a ton of styles and colors. The Tricia are my namesake and a new favorite!
- Lilly Pulitzer– one of my favorite clothing brands often has a few styles in clips. So check back often as I’ve scored some and you may too.
- Kendra Scott– while right now I can only find these hoops in clip, you can look on second hand sites for her older clip styles. I hear they may be bringing clips to their color bar too… fingers crossed. Kendra please hear my cry of need!
- Brynn Hudson– a great friend and amazing jewelry designer Brynn can add a clip back if you put in a special request, just send her an email and ask
- Lele Sadoughi– the accessory queen, I’m obsessed with her headbands and equally her fun earrings. I love how she has a whole clip on section for easy shopping. Next on my list are these.
- St. Armand Designs– Kristina always has fun earrings and for a steal! Most under $40! These are a new favorite!
- Kenneth Jay Lane– a designer everyone knows and always has fun statement pieces! Shop the current clips here, these are a must for me!
- Meg Carter– such fun preppy earrings with a Palm Beach flair. Check out her clip section here, it’s amazing!
- GoldBug– whenever I visit Charleston I always get a new GoldBug piece, they are so well made and quirky. Check out the clips here.
- Hazen & Co.– their Dallas Flagship is so dreamy in design and so is their jewelry. Send them an email and ask what styles they can convert to clip for you. I love my Hazen earrings.
- The Pink Reef– another feminine and chic jewelry brand that you need to contact for special clip requests but so worth it!
- Julie Vos– I’ve been shopping Julie Vos’ clips since college, they are classic and never go out of style. So well made that they are worth the extra money and they ALWAYS have some sort of clips available. Needing these right now!
- Hart Studio– a find on a trip to Charleston, these are super lightweight tassels that add some boho fun.
- Rebecca de Ravenel– earrings that are like art! She put the “Bon Bons” on the map and now I love these which are on sale!
- Dress for Cocktails– Leslie makes the BEST bags and her jewelry is just as fun, while she doesn’t promote clip on earrings you can also email her for clips as some styles she can make in a clip like the Calypso seen here.
- Loren Hope– I used to get so many clips from Loren Hope and while I only see this gorgeous pair right now, let’s hope she brings more back!
- JCrew– from time to time you can find fun clips on their online store. These fun red ones are currently available and less than $30!
- Haute Headquarters– a jewelry mecca! Nicola curates the best including clip ons! I am crazy about her and Teggy’s French & Ford line. These are also gorgeous!
- Hello Dobson– my friend Blair from time to time will stock earrings including fun clips
