Welcome to Two Jacks Bar! I’m thrilled to finally share the finished bar area I created downstairs as part of the renovation. The are down here naturally had a nook so I thought what better place to build a dry bar? The inspiration was a resort bar, think The Colony or Beverly Hills Hotel. I wanted it to be a fun escape, happy, bright and light. Looking back I couldn’t have built this at a better time than now being stuck at home.
The colors are pulled in from the Mad Cap Cottage fabric I have in this space. Behind the bar I used a Thibaut faux grasscloth (thanks to my mom for helping me install it!) that you can easily wipe down incase anyone splashes. My dad built the counter, he’s so talented and knows I love brass. To give it a total cabana feel I had this striped awning made so it felt like you’re on vacation.
I came up with the name Two Jacks Bar after my two Jack Russell Terries, Marty & Miles then had my Piqued PR graphic designer Kelsey, create this custom bar logo for me to really brand it… because I’m extra like that 😉 I used the logo on cups and napkins too which I’ll share later.
For decor I used lots of rattan, bamboo and playful pieces to fill the shelves between the alcohol and glasses.
I’ll be sharing the other parts of this room this week as well so stay tuned!
