- Be true to yourself, decorate with what you naturally gravitate towards versus going after trends. A well collected home of stuff you love looks lived in and makes a happy home
- If you want to try color but don’t know where to start then try green. I learned awhile ago that green goes with just about every other color on the color wheel.
- Mix old with new. Shop at vintage and antique stores to mix with new or big box retailers. This keeps your space from looking like a showroom. Also, the old stuff is generally made better!
- Window treatments and rugs can transform a space. They are worth splurging on.
