Can you believe tomorrow is the first day of spring? I can’t! Here in PA it’s expected to snow… again. So despite Mr. Weather not getting the memo, I decided to put together my spring bucket list. You might have recalled that I did this back in the winter. I’m happy to report I did all but one of the things on my list! Somehow I managed to check it all off except baking. I love making these lists because it’s fun to look back and remember what you did and what you wanted to do. Since my spring is super packed with work this list will keep me motivated and focused, it serves as a reminder to stop, slow down and enjoy the little things. So here goes….
- Throw a spring party for friends. Still thinking of a theme, my friend Ally suggested “Spring Fling” but I’m leaning more along the lines of a derby party.
- Speaking of derby… attend a local horse race or horse show. Of course get all dressed up for it as well and tailgate. That’s half the fun in it.
- Remodel my back patio. Confession… when I first moved in I spray painted clothing hangers pink on top of my back patio. I assumed it would come off but it never did. My back patio is also cracked and just ugly concrete. It’s screaming for a makeover so we broke up the concrete a week ago.
- Finally finish my offie redesign. I actually started this in early December with new wallpaper and paint but I still haven’t finished. I need a new window treatment, a bulletin board and some new decor and wall decorations. Expect a full reveal this spring. Hold me to it, okay guys?
- Travel more! I’ve already done a lot of traveling in 2018 but I hope to do a lot more. I have to keep the momentum up.
- Read at least 3 books between now and summer. This sounds silly but I so enjoy reading I just always end up watching Bravo instead!
- Spring clean. I am in desperate need of a closet clean out and declutter. I can’t help that I love everyone but I really need to let go of some stuff.
- Join a tennis team. Back in college I took lessons and played, I’d love to get back into this hobby again.
- Give back! Attend a gala or bring back my delivery service thank you box that I put on my porch over the holidays. You might remember it was on my winter bucket list. Well I did it and so many of my delivery men and women told me how much they liked it and appreciated it. Why does it have to be limited to the holidays? After all, I think my delivery men/women visit me more than most family does 😉
- Train Marty & Miles. We are almost potty trained (I’m looking at you Marty!). However, the pups need to learn commands like sit, stay, lay.
What are your spring bucket list items?
