Let’s Talk Food

Let’s talk food! Up until a few years ago I was the pickiest eater, just like my Dad. My diet mostly consisted of grilled cheese, macaroni and snacks. Thankfully in recent years it’s expanded to include sushi (even some raw!), spicier Indian and Mexican dishes and just healthier in general.

I mentioned on Instagram that I’ve been trying to eat healthier, cutting out gluten and dairy when I can as I’m allergic to dairy and gluten is an inflammatory which affects my arthritis. I read Kristin Cavallari’s book True Roots and like her 80/20 approach. Basically to eat clean and healthy 80% of the time and 20% indulge like when you have a craving, are out with friends, on vacation, etc. It’s all about balance and moderation. I’ve been doing it to feel better (less achy and lethargic), tone a bit and just get into a routine before I reach 30.

What are your favorite foods, what type of “diet” do you try to stick to?
