Lessons from Last Week

Last week was a busy one, I hosted a live Preppy Podcast panel in Charlotte with Dillards and their amazing female designers under their Coterie Shop. Followed by a client event for Sheridan French in Charleston. I was surrounded by so many inspiring women in business who not only are extremely talented but also so kind.

A few things stood out to me over those days;

  1. never compare your start to someone’s middle. It’s so easy to get caught up and jealous watching someone else’s success but they too have started somewhere and have had bad days (and probably more still to come)
  2. we’re all trying to do it all but no one truly can. Either you’re a mom and entrepreneur or maybe you’re running multiple businesses or just trying to be a good friend, drink enough water, stay fit and manage your job. You can’t give 100% to 100% of the things 100% of the time. And that’s okay.
  3. most people want to help you just have to ask (nicely).
  4. connecting with others and community will help you go far. There were so many strings tying people together at the events. You just never know who might know who and how they can help
