If there’s something I can recommend its a girls trip in the midst of wedding planning. The Delamar Hotel in West Hartford, CT was the perfect getaway for two nights for Rhiana and I. It’s super easy to get to from Philly, I took the train and did work while I rode which is a must when I travel. But let’s get to the hotel, shall we?
Everything was so clean and new as well as had a chicness about it. When you check in the lobby smells amazing, I love hotels that pride themselves on a signature scent, it just adds to the memories. Upon arrival you’re greeted with a glass of bubbles or hot apple cider.
The rooms are very posh with all marble bathrooms, the best luxe toiletries and soaps and a bar that is stocked with snacks and food (available for purchase, of course). I loved the design elements of the hotels as I recognized some Quadrille wallpaper.
As for the food, we ate at Artisan conveniently located right in the hotel. The food was delicious I went with the grilled cheese and soup to start then the lobster pasta. All of which I thoroughly enjoyed but my favorite part about Artisan was the extensive wine list. The Somm selection had 50% off deals you couldn’t beat!
Now let’s get to the spa… a must visit during your trip! The spa featured cutting edge treatments from Europe. I received a facial and instead of using hot clothes and steam, they use cooling techniques to not suck the moisture out of your face. Since Rhiana and I both had stressful weeks we tacked on a massage and boy am I glad we did. It was such a relaxing experience. I give the spa a 12/10!
The hotel is situated right in the town of West Hartford, many great restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. So you’re sure to stay busy! Definitely check out this beautiful hotel for your next weekend getaway!
