I’m gearing up to take our engagement pictures this weekend in NYC. We probably took a little too long to schedule them but better later than never? We decided to hire a photographer in NYC because taking them in the city was important to us since that is actually where we got engaged. I thought today I’d share my prep leading up to our pictures. Here’s what I’ve been doing:
- Teeth whitening- everyone loves pearly whites! I have dentist grade whitener that I use in my aligners but even if you just get Crest White Strips I highly recommend
- Facial- last week I got a facial and derma plane to make sure my skin is glowing and my face is smooth for makeup application
- Planning out the shoot- there are two specific places I want to shoot our pictures. Think about what makes your relationship special, or a place near and dear to you guys or maybe a hobby you share and plot out your shoot locations
Now let’s talk outfits, there are so many great places to find engagement picture outfits. I’m planning on wearing white for mine but I like the idea of a light blue or light pink too or even a pretty floral or toile print could be cute. Here’s where I have been looking and shopping for engagement picture outfits:
- Tuckernuck– always a favorite of mine, they have casual or dressy looks.
- The Outnet– love designer but not the price point, requires some digging but worth it
- Sue Sartor– I’ve seen so many bridal looks by this designer and love them all
- Over the Moon– one stop wedding shopping for literally ALL of your wedding including your engagement pictures
- La Vie– untraditional but I have seen such cute bridal looks from this brand
- Victoria Dunn– her summer linen whites are perfect for a casual engagement shoot
- Alexia Maria– make a statement with these stunning looks, especially the big bows
- Abbey Glass– so many dresses in all sorts of silhouettes in white
- Luciana Emilia– a new to me brand that I am obsessed with
- Floraison Lane– launching soon but currently on pre-order with stunning dresses in solids and feminine prints
