I am thrilled to share the first space of my downstairs reno with you today! It’s been a long time coming as we started last winter but it’s finally getting there. In true Patricia fashion I of course had to add a touch of wallpaper, give me all the patterns! Once I settled on this Macap Cottage palm print the rest was easy as the inspiration was a trip to Palm Beach, happy, light and a touch of whimsy.
Due to the plumbing situation of adding this bathroom in, we had to get a toilet with a pump, a big ugly white thing behind it. I knew I had to cover this eyesore so when I spotted this GIANT ginger jar in the perfect shade of green I scooped it right up! It works perfectly, as if it was planned!
The mirror is one of the first things I bought when we started renovating as I love all things Lilly! It’s part of the Pottery Barn x Lilly Pulitzer collaboration from the spring and makes me so happy. It’s on sale now, so get one while you can and don’t be a fool like me and pay all price 😛
Everything was tied together with the help of some useful decor from Jayes Studio, one of my favorite home decor brands. The taupe chinoiserie pieces let me mix in another pattern and another element of fun!
I might still add another piece or two of art but all in all its finished and I hope you love it as much as I do!
