Curb Appeal

Since yesterday I shared tips for sourcing up the inside of your home I thought that today I’d share some ways you can spruce up the outside… or give your home curb appeal as those on the HGTV shows say.

  1. Paint your door- this may sound silly but nothing makes your home look more different than a new color on your front door. I’ve had mine painted black then green and during quarantine I took the plunge and painted it blue! I’ve had people stop on their daily walks just to tell me how much they love it!
  2. Mulch your gardens- literally my least favorite chore ever is weeding and mulching. So much so that I decided not to go through the hassle of getting new mulch last year but this year with all my extra time I ordered some mulch and got busy and honestly nothing looks quite as fresh as some freshly laid mulch to define your garden beds.
  3. Add some flowers- speaking of gardens, in addition to adding plants and flowers in your garden beds, I always add some beautiful flowers from Costa Farms (found at Lowes) to our patio and decks in pretty pots.

If you’re feeling really adventurous then you can stain your decks like I did…
